Those Kwazy Kobolds! Report

General Summary

Finding the keep that Jessica/Jessie Grey had told them about, the God Punchers joyously tore apart pieces of the curtain wall as they fought a bunch of kobolds and some anti-paladins before driving Uthooplig Islapo away. He reconnoitered with his twin V'peef Sujo at the nearby and newly refurbished dragon shrine, now dedicated to Shayna.    Once the battle at the Keep was over, the party was surprised that the kobolds seemed to be...civil! Once the paladins had all left, or been killed, and the spell was ended, the kobolds were downright nice! Something had been working on their life outlook apparently, as the polite kobold butler would say. The lumberjacks the party had originally come to rescue had indeed been locked in their room, but they were well fed and cared for. They say the kobolds were unreasonably nice to them, as evinced by the feast laid out on the table before them. They did indeed find their way home, and the God Punchers took their rest, preparing for the battle to come, when they would confront V'peef and Uthooplig.   The God Punchers then conducted an extensive room inspection of the Keep, finding some interesting and quite athletic pornography, and discovered a 'spy' for the The High King's Seat, posing as a sleeping shaman.   The next morning, the God Punchers took up the Blue Bauble from the basement, and walked. A couple of hours later, they found the perimeter of the Dragon Shrines. Consecrated with human blood which (having been left there, and not at all cleaned up) was now coated and blanketed with an inch thick carpet of maggots! Crossing the moat of larvae, they entered the evil shrine, to find the twin paladins and four of those anti-paladins waiting for them.

Notes

This was a great session! Nearly a TPK...perhaps a roll or two away, to be honest, but then Arya  pulled out the Vekhet Sphere waaaaay earlier than anticipated, leading to a cascading win for them that ended with the deaths of both V'peef Sujo and Uthooplig Islapo...again, waaaaay earlier than the DM anticipated. During the fight, V'peef (Uthooplig was obviously the quiet, more evil, twin) gave an exposition as to some of their views. It is recorded here: Uthooplig and V'peef's Exposition
