Nurl is the nephew of King Pladimus Cotnor, although he has more of his mother's even temperament and slow burning fuse. That does not mean the fuse is not there, however, and he will fly off the handle if properly provoked.

Personal history
Nurl grew up in the frozen north, going to school at the world famous paradigm of education that is The Bardic College Campus near warm and sunny Greynor; known for its olive groves and aquamarine waters. It is also known for its notoriously lax regulatory ordinances, and a thriving black market that is surreptitiously supported by, and therefore paid to, the city-state's central purse.
Nurl had found his niche.
It was there that he met Lydia Hartunian, and the rest, as they say, is history.
