Mount Grey

Over the millennia, as tectonic plates moved by forces of gravity, pressure, or catastrophe, Mount Grey rose from the very bones of the planet, forming around a Vekhet Sphere and growing large enough to touch the very clouds. Llank-Ryu is headquartered upon the slopes of its two peaks within a temple complex two millennia old.

Veins of precious ore and gemstones run throughout the mountain like the vascular system of some titan, and account for the Order of Oghma 's wealth. They are kept a strict secret, mined by the monks themselves as initiates; as a part of their initial physical training. Word has gotten out about them, however hard the secret is kept, but prospective thieves are never the same once they leave the confines of Mount Grey.

Geography

A two-peaked mountain of rolling sheep pastures and vineyards, nearby Walensisle also came under the protection of the Order of Oghma in CE 4632. Walensisle is known for its ale and wine production, as well as a stout ale dwarves carry on long journeys in lieu of iron or salt rations. The mountain itself rises from Middle Sea, and caps itself off with a circlet of clouds.

Ecosystem

It is a temperate mountain environment, with maple and birch trees intermingling with the oaks and pines of the higher altitudes. It gets colder the farther up one goes, until one comes to an ice and snow choked mantle of permafrost. Here, only one creature survives and thrives; a tiny spider called a Dienipus, which forages for food farther down the mountain during the relative warmth of the daylight hours, but retreats to its lair among the icy pinnacles farther up the mountain during the frigid and dangerous nights.

Localized Phenomena

A web of photaic fungus runs beneath the entire island. They are known as photofilaments.

Fauna & Flora

This is a temperate climate; deer and hare abound, various sea birds make their calls heard all over the coastline.
