Miles Ravenwood may have funded and orchestrated the new settlement of Rathgar, but Theo du Marche had the vison and charisma to make the duo's dream a reality. It was his voice that echoed over Karradone's streets, proclaiming the boundless opportunity that one would find in Azermathia as he gathered the first 500 settlers. It was his words that inspired settlers to toil tirelessly those first few seasons to build homes, forges, walls, and ultimately some of the finest ships on Tarien. And of course it was Theo that lead the daring midnight raid that broke the Goblin siege of the city. In his waning years he even dreamed up Azermathian Memoires as a way to promote the new settlement to those still living in the Inner Seas. The people of Rathgar remember him fondly to this day and small busts with his hawk-like nose and bald head are popular decorations in many homes and businesses in the city. Many such busts are topped with a wide brimmed hat, just as Theo would wear.
