Azermathian Memoires

Collected Journals of Early Rathgarans

First published in 642 AC, Azermathian Memoirs is a collection of journal entries and letters penned by the early settlers of Rathgar. Assembled and edited by Theo du Marche, the work paints a picture of an idyllic land of opportunity for the settlers. Challenges such as crop failures and Goblin raids in the early years are portrayed as opportunities for the settlers to learn valuable lessons. Published through the University of Karradone but funded by the wealth that Miles Ravenwood left behind, the hundred pages have been criticized by scholars as mere propaganda for the fledgling settlement in its effort to attract more colonists. It was clearly successful, both commercially where it sold nearly a thousand copies and in terms of attracting settlers as Rathgar's population surged after its publication.
