Session 7: Rats in the Cellar

• Start heading to the Inn
• Well lit section of the city
• Mira is a Soulmeliti
• Nicest inn in town
• Just after midnight
• Just outside the inn everything is more lit
• Crey and I head into the inn
• Search the outside for a cellar door
• 3 story all timber
• Fancy painted inn
• Arrive 10 mins after midnight
• Look in and there are a couple of lights on, its not bustling
• Tarric casually looks in the windows
• Looks nice inside
• Nice tables
• White tablecloths
• Fire in the hearth
• Candles are lit
• Some chatting
• Soulmeliti chatting
• man and woman chatting
• Bald guy 6’2 wearing a sleeveless vest leather vest and pants accosts Al
• If interested just go up to the door
• So we go up to the door and head in
• He opens the door for us
• Crey tries to talk to the bouncer about performing
• Very nice here
• Not a soul eating dinner at midnight
• Small bar
• Some sort of wood

• The two at the bar look alike
• Tarric drags Fizzywit to the bar
• Tarric tells them that we are here to celebrate and is trying to be friendly
• Roux is hanging back looking nervous due to being dirty
• Crey is making it look like he is looking for work

• Door shuts behind us and the bald guy stays on the inside of the bar
• "Mr. Clean with a mustache like Freddy Mercury"
• Woman behind the bar speaks in Soulmeliti and asks what we want to drink
• Fancy anise based beverage
• We get two glasses
• Says hi to Crey
• Asks if he wants a drink
• Pours the two glasses and puts them on the bar
• Goes to cabinet bends down open the cabinet
• Pulls out growler
• Takes the beeswax off of it and takes the stein and gives it to Crey
• Says to your success
• Tarric tries to pay
• 2 gold
• Tarric pays
• Look around the establishment
• Stairs leading up and double door leading up
• Owl checks around the building for alternate access points
• There is a backdoor into the kitchen stairs leading down
• Two young people cleaning pots
• Looks like they have mostly cleaned up for the night
• Dirty greasy tired
• Opens the door to the basement a crack
• Drinking ouzo
• Tarric asks for the location of the bathroom
• Gets pointed outside
• We don't have a room
• Offers a bucket of sand but would have to send out for it
• Tarric goes outside
• Women who is wearing bright blue and red asks Fizzy what they are doing with the cats
• Tell them he stands in front of monsters for me
• Notices my sword and ask if I know how to use it
• Ask if we are in the mercenary guild
• Ask if we are interested in as good guards

• Ask them about buildings history
• Has been here for hundreds of years
• She may be a little drunk
• Crey is looking to bounce
• Tarric is looking for other people
• No one is paying too much attention
• Tarric looks for a litterbox
• Finds an alley
• Ishta checks the back door lock and sees what kind of lock it is
• Roux checks on Crey
• He has been drinking with moderation…ish
• Tarric circles around the building
• Waves at Ishta trips over something and gets smacked in the face
• Ishta taunts Tarric
• 2 humans come out and threaten Tarric
• This is “our street”
• Tells him to leave the street
• Tarric tries to walk past these guys
• They try to intercept him! Dun dun dun
• He gets grabbed
• Ishta drops ones of their pants
• Tarric tries to break the grapple
• Success
• Runs past them
• Blends in after a couple blocks
• Roux goes to look for Tarric
• Sees Tarric coming around the building quickly
• Roux wants to know why he is being chased
• The others come around the corner
• Ishta tries to rob them with the mage hand
• Doesn't work, they think that Tarric is robbing them
• Roux chases Tarric
• So Tarric chased by Roux being chased by thug holding onto his pants with one hand
• Crey and I head out of the bar
• Cray has drank some Ale
• No one is here at all which is weird
• Crey looks for the owl
• There are 2 owls sitting in the window looking into the Silver Lantern
• 2 creepy owls
• In the Silver Lantern
• Owls hoot and fly off
• We pick a direction and head off
• Tarric is outrunning Roux
• Roux slows down and relaxes cause the pursuit seems to end
• Roux bumps into Crey and Fizzywit
• Ishta mentions we should have established a rally point
• Tarric tries to sneak back looking for street toughs
• Tarric approaches us sneaky like
• Roux obnoxiously says hi to Tarric and waves
• “Glad you didnt die”
• Ishta is still MIA
• Ishta is back
• Tells us lets go through the kitchen
• Take care of rats get money
• The “toughs” may have been guarding the place
• We wait a little then scout the back way in
• We wait two hours
• We grab a quick bite to eat
• Its super late
• 2am ish
• We head back to the inn at 2am ish
• Everyone but Ish and Fizz sneak up to the door
• Kitchen is very neat and its full of bread
• Roux tries to pick the lock without an ability and fails
• Crey tries and fails
• Ishta needs to open door
• Some street toughs walk by and eye me
• We eye each other and they continue on
• Ishta goes for the lockpicks
• Ishta opens the door!
• Ishta is annoyed by Fizzywit standing in the open
• Fizzywit approaches the door
• Fizzywit opens the door and enters the building
• The rest of the group follows me in
• We are in the cellar of the Silver Lantern
• Cellar is pretty clean
• Ale and wine shelves with linens
• Shelves with linen and tableware
• Everyone looks for rats, Ishta keeps casting
• We see two swarms of rats
• Cray Ishta and Fizzy surprised
• The rats attack! Eeeeek rats
• The rats attack roux
• And fail miserably
• The rats bite me for 7 points of damage
• Roux attacks the rats!
• 10 points of damage
• And hunters mark
• 1 more damage
• Tarric tries to cast starry wisp on rats, failure
• Stomps some rats
• 7 damage
• Crey:
• Vicious mockery on the rats!
• 1 point of psychic damage
• Rats Flee under the table
• Other rats flee as well and scurry through a hole in the wall
• Ishta continues to chant
• Pulls door behind them
• Roux:
• Attacks!

• Roux breaks the table
• We find a door
• Tarric tries to open the door quietly
• Its loud
• We head into the passageway
• Uneven stone, natural passage it seems
• Floor is slippery
• Ishta proceeds forward sees a door
• Roux sees rat tracks
• Tarric and Fizz head to the door
• The others follow cautiously
• Ishta pretends that they are having trouble walking
• Tarric opens the chewed door
• Rats!!!

• Ishta finds a small vial with yellow liquid in it

• We go through the room into the tunnel sharply ahead
• It smells musky
• Voice sounds almost human
• Hunched form leaps out at us
• Eeeeek rats!!!

• It seems unfazed

• Shoots at the wererat
