Mira Dustelhyme
Owner of the Silver Lantern
A short and well fed Soulmeliti with long, silver hair that usually finds itself pulled back into a messy braid, Mira has owned the Silver Lantern, one of four permanent buildings in Katzpütch for nearly a half-century. She inherited the inn from her father who had run it for four times as long after inheriting it from his aunt and uncle who founded the place nearly four centuries ago. Almost everyone in City of Shifting Streets has a soft spot in their heart for the innkeeper who is known for her hospitality and knack for remembering names and a gift for sharing just the right gossip that any given patron needs to hear, her pale blue eyes glittering as she shares what someone surely thought was a secret for her ears alone.
Mira runs the inn with a firm but gently hand, ensuring that her patrons enjoy a hearty meal and, perhaps more importantly, a safe and inviting space - something that can certainly be a rarity in Katzpütch. When respect for her fails to keep the Silver Lantern such a space, the four unobtrusive bouncers that she pays the Freelancers to keep watch over generally do the trick. In those rare cases that her bouncers run into trouble, Mira's eyes might start glowing an eerie green color, letting everyone else know to take cover before they become collateral damage to her fury.
Other than her fierce protection of the Silver Lantern, Mira is what one might call a happy-go-lucky Soulmeliti. She enjoys fine food and fine wine - perhaps bit too much on both accounts as she finds her simple but well-made silk dresses just a touch too tight even though she swears she let them out last year.

She has a fine singing voice and often lends it to the musicians that she allows to perform in the common room. Later in the evenings she has been known to show off the dance training from one of her youthful passions and on holidays that passion can sometimes be displayed with intricate steps on the bar top itself. Few have anything bad to say about her other than that she might have slight tendency for excess. There are, however, rumors that she is far cozier with the Freelancers than a simple inn keep paying for protection has any right to be. These rumors are, of course, wholly unfounded.
