Outer Ring

Sometimes, if one looks at the ground in the Outer Ring of Mathe, one can still see the remnants of the mighty wall destroyed by the Gods' Hand in the Battle of Mathe. In fact, at least three different taverns have used part of it in their bars. A few other buildings on the inner part of the Outer Ring built on the few bits and pieces of foundation that survived that great battle, everything in here was built after the founding of the Kingdoms of Prydith or shortly before. Much of the construction is low in height, rarely exceeding two stories. Buildings are spread out more than in the Eldorian Ring and its streets straight and wide. These streets once again take on the radial pattern of the Tidal Ring, though the paths are not continuous with their inner city brethren. Much of the ring serves as inexpensive housing for the city's working class, though a small pocket of blacksmiths specializing in Mathian Iron has begun to develop with both the forges and fine homes of those that have mastered the alchemy required to work the metal. As one ventures further out from inner city buildings become even more well-spaced until in the areas nearest the walls small farmsteads take up entire blocks that the ring's founders had perhaps been overzealous in designing when the rebuilt the walls extended the city's limits.
