North Lake
North Lake is one of two lakes (the other being South Lake located along the eastern edge of the Andorran Mountains. Both sit along a plateau, the city of Krellia between them. North Lake is the larger, though shallower of the two, resembling a squashed circle with various bulbous protrusions, two of the largest outlets to the mighty Selkirn and tumultuous Talbourne River. North Lake is also cleaner than the South Lake, though there is some scholarly debate as to the reason. The best guess, among University of Karradone geologists is that the plateau between the two lakes, filled with farms and pastures, tilts slightly southward, drawing waste toward South Lake. Whatever the reason, the improved waters allows the lake to boast a fair population of pike and catfish. Most are two small to be worth eating, though locals often frighten their children with tales of a massive catfish, the size of a bull, that swallows wayward locals whole.
