Mandaran Gardens
The Mandaran Gardens have long been a park in central Gartcha. Its winding paths amongst the great maples and birches provide residents with a place of relative calm within the great city. It was officially renamed nearly a century ago to honor Mandaran Khankari who freed the city from Zennon. Its fields are strewn with wildflowers and visitors are encouraged strongly - by the guards stationed in the park at all hours - to keep to the walkways. Each day at dusk the guards close the park, sweeping through to evict any who remain in an effort to keep it clear of squatters and other disposed people. In fact, these same guards discourage visits to the park by anyone who looks suspicious, ensuring that the poor never breathe the scent of its trees and flowers.
