Jerinthyme upheld his family name and honor as an officer in the Soulmeliti army both before and during the Great War. His knack for battle magic to supplement his martial prowess both earned him a spot in the mysterious Aran'fantarhyme and saved the lives of this men on numerous occasions. Partial to the element of electricity, his signature feint, combined with and electric touch felled dozens of Orks while stationed at Roen'shai's Ridge during the middle stages of the war.

After the war like many he felt dispossessed. While many of his former soldiers turned to violence as a way to quell their restless souls, he sought meditation, refusing to have anything to do with the growing movement that called for vengeance. When his former commander, Ver'sheli Roen'shai, however, told him that someone had stolen the holy blade Veracous from the Temple of Tyloma, he did not hesitate in joining the search. His presence helped whip the riotriotous ious youth into a semblance of a fighting force as the People's Army marched inexorably eastward to it - and Jerinthyme's - final fate.
