Imperial Lodge
Located in the mountains on the western edge of Pash-ti, the Imperial Lodge is both the residence of the Emperor's family in the Flietch-ta Empire as well as the center of its government. Made of huge beams of hard woods - difficult to find in the Frosted Mountains - and always freshly painted a combination of deep, volcanic red and forest green, the lodge is magnificent structure, reminiscent of a hunting lodge but scaled to the size of a palace. A wide, wooden deck sits in front of it, leading to the stairs that descend to the city below; the first fifty or so feet of it steep enough that many climb hand over hand. Elynthi and Khadric visitors often grumble (to themselves of course) about the height of the tall steps, as designed for a Flind's long strides, they require stouter races to practically jump every step of the way.
Decorated with simple, yet elegant carvings of the Flind life, entrance has huge, vermillion doors, easily twenty feet tall, guarded on either side by massive dragons, one carved from white marble and the other from obsidian. Once inside, the floors are carpeted with luxurious furs and the walls decorated with the heads of those vanquished by generations of emperors. Among the heads one finds massive snow bears, moose antlers that span ten feet, and even on small, white dragon's head. More disturbing are the preserved heads of the those that have run afoul of emperors past be they Ork, Elynthi, Flind and even one poor Kenku.
