House Ashen
Despite their fall from grace at the conclusion of the Second Elynthi War, when the family tumbled from their undisputed leadership of the Elanthai Council and their patriarch, Selengar Shal'Ashen fled into exile, they still hold some sway in politics. While most of the family has left Nosferius, consolidating their power in the town that bears their name, they have not spent the past two centuries idly. They have, however, changed their tactics. Believing that the magic on Tarien is waning, they have renewed their efforts to grow their army. The younger generation has, therefore, focused on mastering the art of the blade and taken to studying military theory. Several have even attended the War College of Gartcha. No great masters have emerged but rumors from the town speak highly of some of the youngest members of the family - still decades away from being unveiled on society. Other rumors, that the Ashen's are experimenting on Ork's to create a loyal safe army are whispered, but unconfirmed.
