Whatever atrocities Callum committed in the Imperial Legion don't get talked about anymore. The fact that he retired with a full pension - meager as that may be - should be enough to tell someone that he was a good soldier. But whether it was is time in Carboth, Ithsaman or Sarnyan that caused the haunted look behind his deep chestnut eyes, he will never say. He can still collect his coin at the legion outpost in Pendril at the start of each year and the fact that its gone before the Frost Moon ends is really his fault, not the Legion's. If only he were better at cards.
The silver medallion of Arimathica around his neck might contrast sharply with the worn wool tunic and stained cloak that he wears, but it was worth every copper. It doesn't matter that his talents at healing seem hard to hone or that after the last "incident" that Sister "Rinna" won't let him do anything other than boil water and clean rags. He will give back any way that he can.
Now if he could just pay back Davos.
