Summer Camps Past

Hello World   Welcome to Tarantellia's Summer Camp Collection. The Articles found here will take you through the Various phases of my Summer Camp Journey. Some years have been more successful than others. But every year that I've participated, I've seen pretty nice growth!   If you're here, thanks for seeing me on my journey! If you'd like to be seen, too, drop a comment with a link to your world! I plan on going through all of the comments in August while we wait for the awards ceremony to arrive!
Lots of love,
— Lauren (Lnphysics-Discord, Lnharmony-Twitch)

The Collection

Here's the collection and reflection of Summer Camps Past!!

2019

My first Summer Camp badge! Made it to Copper! Woo!   I love Trello but I completely forgot about that board.

2020

Second Summer Camp and I landed myself a diamond! What the what! Can I just tell you, that did not feel real. I pushed so hard. I've got to admit, I think it might have been the Summer Camp mug. Every time I filled that beautiful yellow mug, I told myself, "I've invested in this mug and the sticker on my notebook, I owe it to my investment to finish." And you know what? I did. In reality, was it my own perserverance, sure. But that mug and sticker were a constant reminder that I owed it to myself to keep going.

2021

Summer Camp 2021, I was unstoppable. I mean, 3 articles to prep and 1 reflection article. Talk about chefs kiss! It was still a struggle but boy had I found my groove! I let go of that "it needs to be perfect to submit" (a little bit, anyway) and got it done! Woop woop!

2022

2022 in the house! This year, I struggled a bit more. Doubt became a steadfast friend. But! Even though I didn't get diamond like I had hoped, I found myself creating content that I was proud to release. Plus, I still have notes for all of those articles that I haven't finished. One day (maybe WorldEmber 2023?), they'll see the light of day.

2023

This year has been very different than other years. At least, it feels that way. As of writing this paragraph, I'm not sure if I'll even finish Summer Camp. It's the 24th of July, I've only completed 3 prompts. But even with everything being so topsy-turvy, I still have created an outline for 32 of the prompts.   That said, I feel proud of myself for all of the additional prep that I've done and everything that I've accomplished outside of Summer Camp. I'm working on a private writing project, working on moving in with my partner of 5 years, found my love of language again and what I can only hope is my groove, and I'm stepping into me again.   The last 5 years have been such a journey and I'm so glad that Summer Camp has been with me for most of it. What better way to find your voice than through a community brought together by words?
