Bellie Spindle grew up knowing that beyond all else, she wanted a simple life. To garden, heal, and grow with her family and friends - her community. It was the way of things after all. Phelan Ragewind was anything but simple. Bellie's wild heart both admired and feared the reckless abandon that he embodied.
They married and Bellie was constantly thrilled and worried. One day, Phelan left for a walk and never returned. No one could reach him, even by magical means. It was as if he vanished.
Years past. One spring day in the quiet of the glade, Jhen Whispershadow, Bellie's best friend and confidante, proposed. The two fell into a wild romance but that is a story for another day.
Shortly after their wedding, Bellie received a telepathic message. Phelan was alive. Something about going Beyond the Tree for 60 days. ...it had been 3 years.
Upon hearing the news, Bellie and Jhen decided to leave town and see the world. And see the world they did.
In the Webbed Forest, they found spiders the size of small huts known as Arachs.
In Snowhaven, they learned what a Frost Brand actually was.
In the Southern Claw Continent, they danced with fellow travelers and swapped stories - each more fantastical than the last. By the end of each night, everyone was laughing, crying, and pondering the truths and fictions of each others' stories.
But none of that is why Bellie Spindle Ragewind Whispershadow is known for her exploration.
In their travels, Bellie and Jhen found community in dozens of villages and cities. Herbs and materials were exchanged for Bellie's tonics, tinctures, and healing abilities.
To the world, Bellie's wonder and compassion lead to the largest and most profitable trade route on the Claw Continent.
To the couple, the world grew smaller and their home grew larger.
As a member of the Whispershadow Family, much of Bellie's travels have remained a secret and the actual events are highly debated.
Did she actually travel to any of these places or hide away? Many traveling merchants will tut the cityfolk who deny her prowess on account of her family ties.
In the same vein, there are murmurs of Bellie's acts being more menacing than helpful. But again, it all depends on who you ask.
Regardless, Bellie Spindle Ragewind Whispershadow is known around the Claw Continent for supplying major cities with the blueprints for Vending Machines.
While this technology is still not mastered on this continent, some of the wealthier cities have been trying to implement this contraption for potion bottles and trinkets.
It's probable that Bellie and Jhen experienced and explored more regions than the Whispershadows are willing to divulge.
For now, at least was have Vending Machines.
