Ashe C2 Episode 67 - Lord Darkhorse Returns
Previously on Liters of Tomorrow...
You met with the strange interdimensional creature known as Anak Kovara. He presented as an attractive human man and claims that he is bound to a manor house in the center of Westinox. He offered you a deal, help free him from his current situation and he would gather work crews to raise the airship out of the river. He claims that he needs the strange horsehead sculpture that is the powerful arcane focus to pierce the binding spell that entraps him.
Tentatively agreeing to this you made plans to head to the city of Warshaw, the last place you saw the focus when you left it in a state of deconstruction.
Heading back to the Lodestone you met with Sava Cogson, he informed you that his father has agreed to meet with you. Cog is currently in the ancient elven Dreiduaras Dome in Oraheim. He is sequestered in a basement laborotory, apparently safe though Sava informs you that the Dome is ruled by an ancient blue dragon. The journey is a fairly long one and the team decided that the airship would be needed to travel there quickly.
As the team mulled over their travel plans, demaia reminded Nuth that their quarry had been spotted only a couple of nights ago in this very city. The ranger known as Wes has been on a murder spree throughout the Eigerlands and Nuth and Demaia have been sent to bring him to justice. Demaia decided to begin an investigation with some of the local city folk who witnessed the killings.
She and Nuth soon learned that the target in Westinox was the young Kolleen Durrilan, an up and coming politician and leader who showed great promise in the coming years. As Demaia questioned her scullery maid and dressmaker she instead found herself conversing with a house spider named Reggie. He claimed he was a member of the Verdant Sigil and gave Demaia a clue to the person who may be controlling dark Wes. A piece of parchment with a vague threat written in impeccable hand writing was signed with the name "Castaliogne".
As the pieces of the puzzle were assembled by all of you all signs point to Lord Vedemire Darkhorse. His mutant Krullocs now coming from the east, his political rivals being assassinated, and an upheaval in Warshaw all point to Lord Darkhorse once more rising to power.
On your way back to the Lodestone Kavax spotted a strange helmeted man that raised his hackles. He followed the creature to the outskirts of the city and saw that he was speaking with two flesh golems. Kavax now disturbed by the idea of Necromancy alerted the rest of you and you all raced to confront the man. He introduced himself as a herald of Lord Darkhorse and that he had been ordered to kill all of you. He loosed his golems and the battle was on!

Structure
Exposition
Captain Rober Cancelmo
An old academy friend of Banastre Triskelion, they both attended the Penthos naval academy and served aboard warships. In their older years they have joined the ETC after becoming disillusioned with the petty politics and infighting of the Five Houses. Their new positions offer them much more gold and influence than they every could have had as sailors or soldiers.
Currently Cancelmo is very interested in any criminals who have harmed or stolen from the company. He and Triskelion often compare notes on the most dangerous criminals and have vowed to winnow the list.
Their investigators have found that a Tortle known as Truffle has been setting ships on fire and burning up cargo as well as risking many lives. They know that this is in response to the horrors done to the Tortle folk of Cobra'Lah, but in their eyes this Truffle is a dangerous anarchist. They are told to bring in any known associates and interrogate them. Anything to find and stop Truffle.
It is possible that with a sending stone Captain Cancelmo may be alerted that Truffle was reported recently off of the eastern coast of Ventenheim attacking a ship.
As the players parlay or attempt to battle the ETC officers they will be attacked by the new Pterokrullocs. The flying species with sonic attacks.

Future Story Points -
Lord Vedemire Darkhorse - His Phylactery is in Dalemoor Castle in the Tellenor Mountains. The same place where Virgil Capsaicin was changed into a guinea pig. Give Virgil a way to remember this, a portrait painting or some artifact. His phylactery will be a statue of his dead mother. A famous Baroness from the second age.
If the players venture here they will find that the castle is cursed. Anyone who ventures through the Blue Constellation door will be changed. The curse changes the person into an animal, a plush doll, a wooden toy, or some manner of puppet. Their abilities and minds remain but are now morphed into the toy version of their attacks or feats. Druids may attempt a wild shape but now on a random table with small critters listed. All of them are now incredibly susceptible to fire attacks and their HP and attacks now reflect their new forms. Allow Darkhorse to contact them and taunt via a magic mirror as he revels in their distress.
The Great Dead Tree
Now holds the new creche for the Krullocs. This time the creatures are further mutated with huge bat wings and sonic attacks. Need some cool maps and images for the battles.
The Dreiduaras Dome
To get to Cog the team will need to get past the Blue Dragon and his army of Slaad.
