Apple Springs
Apple Springs is a quiet town built on the edge of the wilds, on the north shore of Farn Lake. It grew up around a group of productive apple orchards that provided the majority of the town's economy until recently. Now, it has become primarily a transportation hub and a bit of a mining community. A great deal lumber and some ore come down the Burr River into Farn Lake, where it is gathered at Butterfly Docks and brought to Apple Springs to be loaded onto larger ships for transport on the Lantan River to larger cities and faraway markets. New growth in recent years and an influx of new residents has created some tension in the town, but these growing pains have been eased by the added wealth that have come with them.
As with most settlements of the Bonded Races, Apple Springs tends to be spread out with lots of trees and vegetation. Locals encourage wildlife in and around the city. Trees fill areas between houses and wild animals are not uncommon in the middle of the town. Only the poorer sections of town have crowded buildings, primarily the docks and Dock Road. Other parts of town enjoy large spaces and wide grassy roads.
Orchard Market Green
The center of town is the Orchard Market Green, where four thoroughfares converge: Alban's Road; Farmer's Trail; Mill Road; and Farn Trail. Orchard Market Green is an L-shaped, open space that used to be the biggest apple orchard in town. The remnants of the orchard are a half dozen apple trees spread around the grassy edges of a grassy open market. Even though the area has heavy traffic, the grass here is lush and there are no clear trails or paths. Shops and buildings on the green are:- The Apple Springs Assembly Hall on the north end of the green.
- The Apple Springs Baked Goods on east side of the northern end of the green just south of the Hall.
- The Apple Springs Church of the Road of the Road on the west side of the green south of Alban's Road which sits on the edge of the graveyard.
- The Owl in the Barrel on the north of Mill Road just east of the bakery.

Architecture
Most homes are two-story, wooden lap construction, with grey or white tile roofs. They are painted, in either greens or brown, but a fair number stand out with bright blue or white paint. Businesses are often stone on the first floor, most stone is white or grey, a few ore all one color, but a random mix is most common. Every building has a chimney of white or grey stone for the cooking fire. Due to the year round warm weather, heating is not a concern. To handle the cooling, houses and buildings are built with large glassless windows with heavy wooden shutters that can be opened wide to allow a breeze.
Geography
The town is nestled against Farn Lake at the end of the last main road in New Sedona, the Stoneybrook Road, although locals just call it the Highway. The name is derived from the dozens of apple orchards surrounding and within the town, and in particular, an apple orchard in town that has a natural spring within it.
