Memorize this code thoroughly, it may just save your life and everyone around you. - Watcher Captain
Watcher Spectrum Coding is a series of signal codes used by the Watcher Corps across the
Radiarchys of Embera as a means to send messages across their
Signal Towers to enable to communicate with each other to respond to possible dangers that they may encounter.
Color Signals
Each color on a Spectrum Crystal has a different meaning for the status currently surrounding a signal tower. Depending on which color is displayed it could end up being a peaceful day or a life of death situation. Each one has a distinct meaning to them to ensure that their is no confusion when messages are sent from tower to tower.
Red: Often used as a sign of imminent danger involving
Gloomspawn that have been spotted in the area. Resulting in an armed force mobilizing immediately to confront them.
Yellow: A more cautionary warning if potential dangers have been spotted but not identified. A scouting party will be sent in to properly investigate the anomaly.
Green: An all-clear sign with no real danger spotted and all can remain at ease and continue to watch. Mostly daily watches end with a green light throughout a sentry’s shift.
Orange: This is used in the concerns of troublesome highwaymen and or criminals that are wanted for their crimes. Local forces will be sent out to deal with them by capturing or killing them.
Blue: Mainly used in dealing with natural disasters or supernatural occurrences. Areas that are affected will be blocked off and the local population will be evacuated until the danger is resolved.
Multicolor: In some cases a signal tower will be attacked, resulting in a distress signal being sent out. In case of a tower is attacked or destroyed a strike force will be sent in to stop the enemy that caused it.
Detailed Messeages
To better understand a situation that is progressing, more detailed messages are using a series of methods in using the light from their signals. Most do this to understand a situation in more detail better or to add more security to their messages to ensure that the no can copy and mimic them if a tower is captured.
Flashing: Signals are often covered to create a flashing effect to determine the range of a threat to numbers that it may contain.
Size: The size of a signal is altered from large to small to deem the seriousness of a situation and the urgency to send for aid to that location.
Timing: Timing of when a signal response is used as a means of telling the amount of time is left before a threat begins to escalate.
