Right to the Bone 19 in the Sahara Desert

General Summary

This is very very dry.

This is not Nirvana.

Chameleon says the real "Daniel Jackson" is in fact a person named Harlson who is at {redacted} where he is {redacted} and also {redacted}.

There is an ancient electric grid here that is connected to a space in one wall for the pyramid to fit. It is connected to the columns that still stand and the places where the 2 broken pillars should be.

I have an idea! I get my fellow "bait" people to hide and I talk the Kryptonian troopers into a temporary alliance versus AIM and HYDRA: help me reassemble this device, we work together to get control away from the terrorist "quantum manipulators".

I figure once we get it working, they'll turn on me, and the entire party will jump them.

The device starts up and it creats holographic walls and a ceiling. The ceiling has holographic stars. It also starts to open another portal, a rainbow portal, on the dais. The columns lift up off the ground.

Part of the dais floor pulls back and a bench and keyboard looking thing rise up out of that. Kabuki and then Psypher work on that.

I get the Kryptonian commandoes interested in the holographic stars so they don't look around at the dais. The spare parts they handed over to help are reconfigured into the head of an Atlantean Atomic Hammer, and then sand starts filling in to become a handle.

But when I earnestly recommend that they not touch that, the leader of the Kryptonian commandoes calls for ending the alliance. That's the team's cue!

They do excellent work of putting all the commandoes down while I try to drain the power out of the blue portal before it either opens fully, or interacts too much with the rainbow one and explodes.

... I ... uhh ... seem to be wearing blue crystal armor.

The blue portal is trying to recreate itself. I am running out of places to drain that power into.

General Zod shows up from no portal at all and offers to give each of us a nation in exchange for him not invading. He talks a whole lot about his magnanimous plan for all of us, and while I try to do something about him, apparently I accomplish nothing until after he decided to leave.

Except that ... once we arrive, the whole facility moved to the jungles of Gorilla City, Zod falls thunk on the transported dais and is unconscious. King Solovar walks up to greet us and welcome us to Gorilla City. He says the bell has not rung in a long time. He also says there are at least 5 organizations who are interested in the quantum engines, and he would like to bring us someplace to rest up and exchange stories.
