This +2 rapier (18-20/x2) is full of intricate gearwork winding its way down the flat of the blade, leading to the grip, which houses an even more complicated set of mechanics. When the blade is silent, a faint ticking can be heard. The blade picks up any sort of rhythm/song/beat, and will often sing along to it in its mechanical voice. The Singing Blade has an amiable personality, and will respond to questions. It has a fairly simple mind however, and mostly just enjoys company, and creating music with others.
Whenever you start a bardic performance, the blade will sing along in its own voice, stacking its bardic performance atop yours. The blade’s bardic performance gives bonuses = to half of what your personal bardic performance gives.
Every successful attack with this blade rings out a joyous sound, increasing any effects from its bardic performances by +1, up to a maximum of +3. Every strike will build on the melodic ringing, rising as a crescendo. However, if you miss, the song falters, and this extra bonus is reset back to 0.
