The Sxlaris universe is a post apocalyptic version of Earth where an experiment gone awry has lead to the complete inhabitability of Earth's surface. With the emergence of a mysterious "SCP Foundation" claiming to be the leading expert of the strange creatures now prowling the surface, and the megacorporations intent on building a new world, the choice is yours:

Sxlaris is a fictional universe that has been in constant development by Sxlar Wasteland since early 2021. This world building project aims to serve as something you can look to and reference to tell your own stories. Already, our universe spans hundreds of years and by the time we're finished will contain hundreds if not thousands of fictional planets, species, characters, and more for you to tell your own stories in. The universe is designed to span multiple genres, from sci-fi to fantasy, and from horror, to adventure; this universe exists as a sandbox for ideas. Sxlaris isn't meant to have one specific genre or medium so whether your a filmmaker or a writer, or you if your making your own home-brew DnD campaign, feel free to use any elements of this universe within your own world. Even if that means your world is nestled somewhere deep in the corner of our galaxy -- if you write a story thats good enough, we might just work with you to add it to the official cannon of the universe.Join us on Discord

Welcome to The Kult, pilot. Why do your SCPs have an x in front of the number?
Sxlaris is a parallel dimension to your "prime" universe, having a lot in common, but also displaying key differences. To distinguish anomalies unique to our reality, we use the "x" designation (e.g., SCP-x173 instead of SCP-173). This system helps avoid confusion between the Foundation of our dimension and yours.What are SCPs?
The term SCP refers to an anomalous entity, object, phenomenon, or location that defies conventional scientific understanding. These anomalies are cataloged and contained by the SCP Foundation to ensure the safety of humanity and the preservation of normalcy. Each SCP is assigned a unique identification number and detailed documentation outlining its properties, containment procedures, and any relevant observations.

What are The Backrooms?
The Backrooms (SCP-x002) is a pocket dimension full of a seemingly infinite amount of floors, all of which have their own certain "theme". Those who find themselves here are often trapped, unable to escape due to the shifting layout and disorienting nature of the space. The Backrooms are both psychologically and physically hazardous, with time seeming to distort and hostile entities lurking in certain areas. Exploration is ongoing, but many who enter are lost to its infinite expanse.
