Relocated to Site-19 in 1993, SCP-x173’s origins remain unknown. The object resembles a Victorian-era statue of a crying, winged woman, seemingly carved from white marble. SCP-x173 is animate and highly aggressive. It exhibits quantum-locking behavior, rendering it immobile when observed directly. Under no circumstances should line of sight with SCP-x173 be broken. Personnel entering its containment area must communicate and coordinate blinking to ensure uninterrupted observation. SCP-x173 is known to attack by snapping the neck at the skull's base or via strangulation. In the event of an attack, Class 4 hazardous object containment procedures are to be followed.
Reports of scraping stone noises emanating from within the containment area when unoccupied are standard and should be documented. Any deviation from this behavior must be immediately reported to the acting HMCL supervisor.
The reddish-brown substance found on the floor of the containment area consists of a mixture of blood and feces. The source of these materials remains unidentified. The containment enclosure is to be cleaned bi-weekly as part of standard maintenance protocols.
