Level 14 | The Infinite Entertainment Complex

Special Containment Procedures:

The retail park containing SCP-x3008 has been purchased by the Foundation and converted into Site-██. All public roads leading to or passing by Site-██ have been redirected. The entrance to SCP-x3008 is to be monitored at all times, and no one is to enter SCP-x3008 outside of testing, as permitted by the Senior Researcher.   Due to the dire nature of current circumstances, SCP-x3008 now serves as the primary safe haven for the remnants of humanity. Foundation personnel, now operating under Protocol Omega-7, oversee all aspects of SCP-x3008's utilization, security, and resource management.   All remaining civilian populous is to be organized into districts, each monitored by Foundation personnel. Strict census records are to be kept at all time. Any civilians appearing to be in some way anomalous are to be immediately reported to Foundation Staff.   Due to the infinite spacial properties of SCP-x3008, logistical operations are coordinated by the Department of Dimensional Anomalies (DDA). All civilians must complete orientation upon entry to SCP-x3008. Civilians are to stay within designated safe zones at all time, at risk of punishment. Any anomalous activity within safe zones are to be reported immediately at risk of punishment.

Description:

SCP-x3008 is a massive entertainment complex formerly operated by ████ █ ███████, a prominent arcade and casino franchise. Individuals entering SCP-x3008 through its main entrance and moving out of sight of the doors are translocated to an anomalous space designated SCP-x3008-1. This transition occurs seamlessly, with most victims remaining unaware of their displacement until attempting to locate the exit.   SCP-x3008-1 resembles the interior of a ████ █ ███████ arcade and casino but extends far beyond the physical dimensions of the original building. The area spans at least 10 kilometers, with no discernible boundaries detected in any direction. Attempts to measure the space using laser rangefinders have yielded inconclusive results, leading researchers to theorize that the space may be infinite.   SCP-x3008-1 is populated by an unknown number of individuals who became trapped prior to containment. Evidence suggests these civilians have adapted to their environment, forming a basic civilization within SCP-x3008-1. Their settlements and fortifications appear primarily defensive, constructed to repel attacks by entities designated SCP-x3008-2.   SCP-x3008-2 are humanoid entities inhabiting SCP-x3008-1. While their appearance superficially mimics humans, they exhibit exaggerated and inconsistent body proportions, such as being abnormally short or unnaturally tall. These entities lack facial features and uniformly wear black shirts and trousers resembling the ████ █ ███████ employee uniform.   SCP-x3008-1 exhibits a rudimentary day-night cycle, dictated by the activation and deactivation of overhead lighting. This cycle aligns with the original arcade and casino's opening and closing hours. During the "night" phase, instances of SCP-x3008-2 become highly aggressive toward all other lifeforms within SCP-x3008-1. During these violent periods, they have been observed vocalizing English phrases, typically variations of, "The store is now closed, please exit the building."   At the onset of the "day" phase, SCP-x3008-2 instances revert to a passive state, moving aimlessly throughout SCP-x3008-1. In this state, they are unresponsive to questioning or other verbal attempts at interaction but will react with hostility if provoked or attacked.   SCP-x3008-1 is known to have one or more exits located within, though these exits do not appear to have a fixed position, making it difficult to leave SCP-3008-1 once inside. Using any other door besides the main entrance to enter the structure or breaking through the walls of the retail unit leads into the non-anomalous interior of the original complex.
