Ulfgar Mine
A mine producing valuable metals and minerals for Ka-Tepi has stopped sending shipments. Those sent to investigate have not returned.
The mine not only extracts ore, but also processes it into ingots and finished materials in large subsurface forges run by dwarven and human artisans.
History
The dwarven prospector Alberich Ulfgar explored the Dragon's Tooth Mountains three hundred years ago, searching for the hoard of the blue dragon Chamrith after her defeat. Instead, he discovered several veins of valuable metals and minerals rising close to the surface and relatively easily accessible. Securing supplies and workers from the small town of Ka-Tepi fifty miles away, he began to dig the first shafts and passages of the mine.
The veins led to even greater quantities of valuable metals, and the pace of extraction was slowed only by the hard rock which enclosed them. Three hundred years of digging has created a large underground complex spanning many levels.
