WHiV Session 13: Putting Out Fires
General Summary
August 18, 1996
The summer dragged on in the city of Las Vegas, with the coterie struggling each night to maintain the Dream of a vampiric utopia in the face of threats from all sides. Tonight proved no different, starting with a meeting where a powerful Ventrue from the Camarilla's inner council laid out the debts the coterie owed for their masquerade breaches. The vampires could do some favors for the inner council to repay their debts, like organizing some discord among clan Tremere or hunting for the whereabouts of a bloodthirsty serial killer.
But before the coterie could get started on these favors, a whole variety of problems showed up at their doorstep. Patrick had to race over to a seedy casino off the strip to see to their stressed-out ghoul, meanwhile Norbert and Anthony confronted a pack of Anarchs who were throwing around cars in a parking garage with masquerade-breaching superhuman strength. Cesca took a meeting with Maximilian Strauss, but the vampire made it clear that he expected the coterie to provide clan Tremere with a new chantry at the Luxor Pyramid in Vegas. And all of this happening just hours after Angus Murray and his fellow necromancers nearly burned down the casino communing with spirits from the Vegas World Massacre.
Once the coterie had a moment to catch their breath, they started planning out how to pay back their debts. Apparently a Tremere woman named Carna was making some noise out in Milwaukee, so they sent out a couple letters via crow to potentially meet with her in Camarilla-controlled Kansas City. Later that night Anthony headed over to a drive-in theater to talk about the serial killer with his friends in the Ministry. Apparently the killer had a penchant for filming his murders, and sure enough Mona had a VHS tape for him to watch. After another exhausting night in the books, the coterie welcomed the sunrise to rest the day away.
