The Marinian League

The Marinian League is the state entity that controls the Merinian Isles, the islands located west of the main Everegard.   Over a hundred islands make up the Marinian archipelago, the largest of which is Grand Marin. These islands are the homeland of the Marish people, who boast a proud history and culture.   Grand Marin is the base of the Marinian League, the Council of Helmsmen who hold authority over the archipelago and recently more distant lands. The latest colonies are across the Episay Ocean on the newly discovered land of New Aeven.   During the 15th Century the Marinian Isles were caught up in a civil war, the War of Eleven Leagues. The Marinian League won this war and dominance over the other dependencies.

The Gold Noa is the unit of currency used in the Marinian Isles, minted by the Marinian League. One Gold Noa is made up of either two Silver Noas, or ten silver Carves. A silver Carve is the equivelent of ten bronze Craks. A Crak is worth twelve copper Tubs.
Legislative Body
The Council of Helmsmen, overseen by a deck of Pilots. The Council elects a High Helmsman every six years. The High Helmsman can assign the Helmsman to the Cabins of Civil Interest. Each cabin also has an Overseer assigned by the Pilots.
