Hemton

The official and administrative capital of Grand Marin and the Marinian League.
It is a city with a flourishing history and vast culture. Famous architecture includes the Ship of Parliament (home of the Marinian Parliament), Hemton bridge (built in 1347 AD), Barbridge (which guards the entrance of the Hemsat river) and Hemhill Keep.
There are frequent festivals in the Gardens of Spice and the many taverns give visitors a taste of the culinary delights the city offers.

Demographics

High numbers of noble and upper class gentry in comparison to other areas of Marin.

Rising number of civil servants.

Majority of the population consists of the working class.

Since the end of the War of Eleven Leagues and the esatblishment of overseas territories there have been rises in imigration into Hemton, however this is not as prolific as in Paxton and the more industrious cities.
