Vozuno
Colony founded in 2282, this terraformed planet is prospering rapidly even if Vozuno has always grown up in the shadow of the other planet of the system who is called Aderia, which has benefited from a much faster growth transforming it into the economic metropolis of the Republic. Vozuno has nevertheless succeeded in prospering economically thanks to the attraction of part of the population of the system for its quieter side.
Demographics
Vozuno has a total population of 2.7 billion which is made up entirely of humans, the capital and main city on the planet is Penshaw which also hosts the main spaceport on the planet. The rest of the population is concentrated in many cities of different size all around the planet.
Government
The capital of the planetary government of Vozuno is Penshaw, the city contains the planetary court, the offices of the executive and the planetary assembly and all the institutions necessary for the proper functioning of the government. The executive apparatus is made up of the representative of the planet which is called an Intendant and the various departments which deal with the competences which are allotted to the planet.
Defences
Like all republican planets, Vozuno has an Orbital Defense System (ODS) which is made up of several orbital cannons used to support Navy vessels in the event of an attack. The planet is also defended by the Army and the Air Force whose task is to defend it against any invasion attempt.
Industry & Trade
Even though the planet is in the Nachaek System, a system that is at the heart of commerce between the Republic of Planets, the Zelvan Council, and the Holy Kingdom of Katho, this flow of commerce is mostly captured by Aderia. Trade through Vozuno is therefore mainly local, with local exports or imports. The planet has a few metallurgical industries which exports their production to the Djaout shipyards, but it is not a large industrial center.
Infrastructure
Vozuno has a dense train network that connects the various cities of the planet, it also has four spaceports, the largest being in Penshaw, and the same number of orbital stations. The last are for receive ships that cannot land on the planet because of their excessive mass.
Architecture
The cities of Vozuno are like all the republican cities, they have a lot of vegetation, use a lot of glass and carbon fiber materials on mid-rise or high-rise buildings. Transparent solar panels are also inserted in the windows which reduces the energy consumption of buildings. Although efforts are often made to keep a reasonable scale, the central districts of republican cities are often made up of very tall buildings with extravagant shapes which can sometimes form several urban floors. However, the peripheral districts are more generally made up of medium-sized buildings and for the parts on the border, we see more low density with only a few floors.
Geography
Vozuno has a geography that is very similar to Earth since its terraformation, the planet is approximately 62% water with large land masses separated by oceans and seas. The land masses are covered with forests covered with lush vegetation, mountain ranges and plains.
Natural Resources
Vozuno is mainly rich in minerals, the planet also has several other ressources in large quantities, but most of the raw materials come from space to avoid the environmental damage that the exploitation of these would cause on the planet.
