Espya
Demography and Population
The Espya sector has a population of approximately 26 billion people, all of whom are human. The six official languages and many others are spoken by the population which is, as everywhere within the Republic, very diverse and brings together all the human ethnic groups originating from the Earth.
Territories
The Espya sector has under its jurisdiction fifteen systems, eight colonized planets and one major inhabited space station. Its territory is located in the south of the Republic, it is bordered to the north by the galactic core, to the south by the sector of Baxel, to the east by the territory of the Zelvan Council and to the west, by the sector of Gorse.
Military
As defense is an exclusive federal jurisdiction, the sectors do not have their own armed forces. However, several Army, Marine Corps and Air Force units are stationed throughout the planets in the sector. In addition, Starbase 2 serves as a home base for the Navy's 2nd Fleet, the 8th Fleet on the contrary utilize the Starbase 8 for home base, the two are responsible of defending the sector. Also, some of their units can be sent abroad in times of war if necessary.
Technological Level
The Espya sector has the Espya Sector Research Institute on Aderia which does research in many areas and provides grants to the private sector. Indeed, when it's requested by a company, this one can receive a grant for research after a study of its request by the institute.
Religion
Even if the structures attached to it have long since disappeared, a small part of the population still practices the heirs of the old great religions. A larger part of the population practices new religions which are no longer so much focused on the belief in one or more gods, but acting more as philosophies of life for the faithful. Concerning the majority of the population, it declares itself atheist, even if a small part of this majority does not reject the idea of a higher force somewhere.
Agriculture & Industry
Thanks to its strategic position and the passage of two Space Routes on its territory, the sector is today the most industrialized sectors of the Republic. The planets being considered industrial centers are Aderia, Vozuno, Dakarai, Irinya and Pordera. On the agricultural side, the cities on the planets in the sector are self-sufficient and generally only produce what they need. However, there are some planets that export local specialties, but food exports are still rare.
Trade & Transport
As everywhere within the territory of the Republic and therefore in the sector, the transport of people and goods is possible thanks to the wormholes which allow travel between systems. In the systems, the Star Drive is used, which allows ships to go, depending on the size of their reactor, at a maximum speed of twice the speed of light. The Space Routes, set up by the government, are major monitered transport axes where the majority of commercial traffic circulates.
Education
Even if education is a competence reserved for the sectors, a standardized academic course has been adopted throughout the Republic. The first level of education is junior as well as senior high school which is mandatory and given to people between the ages of five and seventeen. It teaches the basics such as writing, reading and arithmetic amongst others. Then, the second level is college or technical school which lasts three years. The first focuses mainly on bringing students to university while the second provides training that leads directly to the job market. Finally, the last level is university, which generally lasts four to six years, it is aimed at citizens who want to start a professional career in large companies or different levels of government. Federal law also obliges the sectors to provide this education free of charge at all stages of the school career to all their citizens without exception.
Infrastructure
As everywhere within the territory of the Republic and therefore in the sector, the main civil infrastructures are the space stations, either in orbit of planets or dispersed in the systems. For the orbital stations, they make it possible to make the link between space and the surface and serve as an anchoring place for the largest vessels which cannot land on the surface. The other major civil infrastructure are the spaceports, located on the surface of the planets, they can accommodate ships and serve as a direct link with space. For military infrastructure, many starbases, which are Navy's bases, are scattered on the territory to ensure its defense. Military bases of other branches of the armed forces are also present on the surface of the planets of the sector.

Legislative Body
Like all sectors of the Republic, the Espya sector has as its legislative body a parliament which is composed of deputies who are elected by universal suffrage, for a mandate of three and a half years, with a maximum of four mandates. These deputies approves or rejects laws proposed by the governor and may propose amendments to them.
Judicial Body
Like all sectors of the Republic, the justice system of the Espya sector is headed by a Superior Court, if cases in this court are appealed, they are transferred to one of the criminal or administrative courts of the sectorial justice system. In order for the cases to reach this one, they first had to be appealed by the lower courts. Arrived at the sectorial level, the case will be presented to the court which suits him best. Each sectoral judicial system has four criminal and six administrative courts, if the judgment is appealed, it is then transferred to the Superior Court. To select the justices of the Superior Court and of the entire sectorial justice system, the Sectorial Registrar appoints from candidates presented by the Office of the Sectorial Civil Service to him.
Executive Body
Like all sectors of the Republics, the Espya sector is led by a governor elected by universal suffrage for a seven-year, non-renewable term. Reporting to the President, the Governor is responsible for constituting his government after his election and of determining the broad lines of his internal policy which he will then make apply by his government. He chairs his Cabinet which brings together the secretaries leading the various departments in charge of the administration of the sector. Secretaries of all departments are appointed by the governor after a vote of confirmation by the Parliament.
