Cromia is a small terrestrial planet with a low-gravity environment, and a unique and isolated ecosystem because of it. The
people and
culture that come from the planet are called Cromians.
The planet is a member of the
Galactic Coalition but is quite isolated due to the planet's species not surviving comfortably in a higher gravity environment, Cromian representatives will often call into meetings from their home planet rather than having to deal with the medical equipment and hassle needed to travel in higher gravity environments.
Star System
Cromia is one of four planets in a single-star system. The planet is smaller than most other planets and has only one small moon.
Ecosystem & Geography
Cromia has a deep range of biomes, with lots of plants and geographical features being quite tall as there is less gravitational erosion. The planet is also prone to heavy storms that often pick up dust and debris and make it hard to see during stormy days.
Regions
Cromian Floating Forest
The Cromain Floating Forest is not actually floating. It is merely a large forest with tall thin trees that appear to be floating or defying gravity, at least to people from higher-gravity environments. Most of the forest is protected by a nature preserve where the government protects the trees and creatures living there and allows tourists and visitors to come and enjoy being in nature.
Population
Due to the planet's low gravity, the majority of non-cromian species -especially those from high gravity environments like
Enkorians - find it difficult to live on the planet as the change in gravitational forces and atmosphere can be discombobulating, because of this the planet is mostly populated with Cromians with very small pockets of other sentient species.
Infrastructure
The planet has good infrastructure, and makes use of the planet's low gravitational force, using more airship-like transports and using gases and kites in lots of their forms of transportation. The planet also has some hovercraft, but due to the change in gravity between where they are made (most are made in normal gravity environments) and the gravity on cromia makes the hover vehicles not work.
