Fel-Language

Fel, or langue fel, is a Human language spoken chiefly in Felize encompassing parts of northern and central Solace. It is descended from languages of The Outside World spoken by former slaves of the Draego, and named for the flesh that covers men and beasts in contrast to the scales of Dragons. Written in the Common(Elvish) script, it is one of the official languages of Felize, with Common(Elvish) and High Elvish being used as well. It is the third most-spoken language in the world, after Common(Elvish) and Banpouri.

History

Like other Human languages, Fel is a direct descendant of early forms of other tongues, which were brought to Solace by Human slaves in the Age of Destruction. The Fel language survived into the new world despite considerable changes, coexisting with Draconic, Dwarvish, Banpouri, Havlin, Common, and Ortemhan within Aleuzlatu. After The Sacking of Banpour during The Reclamation War, Fel replaced Banpouri as the primary language of Human diplomacy with Mourne and Meander, and retained this role until 994 A.D when it was taken over by Common.
