New Atlantis
First city planned and built on Luna by Lunar citizens, and has since become the beacon of Lunaren culture and most populated city on the moon.
Demographics
The city is largely local in culture and ethnicity, with Lunarens making up some 96% of the city's population.
Government
New Atlantis is a city within the Democratic Parliament of Luna, and follow DPL Laws. The city itself is run by a governor appointed by the Lunar Prime Minister of the DPL.
Infrastructure
The city consists of five large habitat domes arranged in a star or flower-petal formation. Each of these zones serves as a district within the city which generally fulfills a single function (the Market District for instance being the center of trade and comercial exchange within the city). Under each of these domes is a series of subterranean levels, each used, for the most part, as residential districts, agricultural areas, or storage for the city.
Districts
- Central District - Largest domed district of the city, contains the governmental and administrative offices as well as public gathering spaces.
- University District - Domed educational district dominated by the campuses, laboratories, and various outbuildings of Vangian Academy and Atlantis University.
- Market District - Domed commercial district with multiple storied layers containing storefronts, resturants, and offices for the city's largest companies.
- Conservatory District - Domed park and leisure district. Smallest of the domed districts
- Industrial District - Domed industrial district wihch houses manufacturing and construction facilities.
- Agricultural District - A sub surface farming and agricultural district for growing food in the city.
- Residential District 1 - A sub surface residential district for citizens of the city.
- Residential District 2 - A sub surface residential district for citizens of the city.
- Residential District 3 - A sub surface residential district for citizens of the city.
- Residential District 4 - A sub surface residential district for citizens of the city.
- Residential District 5 - A sub surface residential district for citizens of the city.
- Residential District 6 - A sub surface residential district for citizens of the city.
- Residential District 7 - A sub surface residential district for citizens of the city.
- Warehouse District 1 - A sub surface warehousing district for the city's storage needs
- Warehouse District 2 - A sub surface warehousing district for the city's storage needs
- Warehouse District 3 - A sub surface warehousing district for the city's storage needs
- Warehouse District 4 - A sub surface warehousing district for the city's storage needs
- Warehouse District 5 - A sub surface warehousing district for the city's storage needs
