The Wyrmmeadow Monster
Forest cats in the Wyrmmeadow? The cats won't even go near the place! They're too scared of the monster that lives there.
There's no monster, you say? Pah! I dare you to go there and see for yourself! And I'm not going with you, I quite enjoy being alive.
Most people would scoff at the idea that there's a monster in the Wyrmmeadow. However, those who believe in the myth, while none of them have actually seen the monster themselves, definitely know someone who has.
The Monster
The described appearance of the monster has as many different versions as the number of people who has seen it - with some extra artistic details added from the imaginative mind of the ones who hear about it. Its size varies from the size of a large dog to barely having enough room to fit in the actual meadow it's supposed to inhabit. It's described as a huge monstrous wolf, or a giant lizard, or a shadow, or a void.
Most descriptions are, indeed, different from all other descriptions. In some cases, however, the monster is described as something rather similar to a dragon. But dragons usually don't frequent Shireon, do they?
The Truth
Any rational person would say there's no truth to this at all. This is just another example of the collective imagination going wild about a silly rumor. The real reason people keep away from this meadow is because it's inside the Catfoot Weald, which is the area in Kael Thalori with the densest population of enari forest cats. Any human stupid enough to travel in these areas alone risk getting mauled and eaten.
The truth, however, is that nobody knows the truth. As with all myths of this nature, there might be a slight ounce of truth in there on which the myth is based. The only person who might know anything is the Arch Druid Vinior, but he always deflects the subject altogether.
Inquisitive person: As the only person who would know about it, is there a monster in the Wyrmmeadow?
Arch Druid Vinior: Ah, yes, the meadow. It's close to Akrimmon, the tree. A spectacular tree, indeed.
I'd definitely be stupid enough to go in the meadow and try and find it myself XD Great article!
