Leviathan Still in Dire Straits

After almost a week of silence from Boeing officials, the Leviathan still remains in the Straits of Malacca, apparently adrift less than 10km from Karimun Besar Island of Pfizer-Indonesia.
The Leviathan is a mobile manufactory and oceanic mining rig over a kilometer in length. She was enroute to Tuas Spacelink, scheduled to arrive earlier week. However, it veered off course on January 1, when passing fishermen and freighter technicians observed smoke bellowing out from several locations onboard. Over 3 dozen tugboats also sailed out from Singapore to stabilize the Leviathan's trajectory.
Netizens in the area claim a series of pops could be heard in the wee hours, after New Year fireworks had subsided. This leads some to speculate that there were explosions or even gunfire aboard the gigantic vessel. Boeing F-35 Lightings and F-42 Dragonflies have been on continuous patrol over the area since New Year's Day, further lending credence to the theory.
Vessels navigating the Straits of Malacca have been warned to steer clear of the Leviathan, and SATS patrol boats have been escorting vessels passing through the area.
