Boeing Atlas Complex

The Boeing Atlas Complex is a 200 story high building that serves as the ground-side "anchor" for the Tian Dao Space Elevator, located in Tuas Space Link. The Earth end of the space tether is anchored here, and the space elevator platforms will be sent to space from the "Launch Deck" atop the Complex.   The Boeing Atlas Complex is comprised of three parts. The Boeing Terminal is an integrated hotel, resort, and shopping arcade located on the lower 8 levels of the building. Designed in roughly a doughnut shaped, it is a miniature city in its own right, servicing the anticipated sizable clientele of the space elevator. Customs facilities allow both foreign travelers to be processed directly from the port, and for space travelers to be processed analogously to an airport terminal. The facilities within the Terminal are licensed to all major corporations.   Sitting at 200 stories high, the Space Deck takes up the upper part of the Boeing Atlas Complex. Roughly circular in shape, the Space Deck serves as the final boarding area to the space elevator. Up to five elevator platforms of various sizes can be housed within the central area of the Space Deck, and the top floor of the Space Deck serves as a boarding area for passengers and freight. The outer ring of the Space Deck provide super-premium amenities to the clientele. The entire ring rotates to provide a panoramic view of the island of Singapore, the Singapore Strait and the Johor Strait. It also houses several spas, restaurants, casinos and meditation areas.   Connecting the Space Deck and the Terminal is eight sets of conventional elevators, running on spiraling tracks around the tower. This offers the passengers a panoramic view of the area during their 200 second trip up and down from the Space Deck.

Locations

The Anchorage Bar is a Boeing sponsored bar featuring American and Scandinavian metal music. It prominently features "industro-metal" performances involving power tools used as instruments. It has drawn a great deal of criticism and acclaim from the local crowds.   The Scoop is a dance floor / stage area owned by Disney-Amazon. Situated within the Shopcade, the seating / viewing area is integrated with overlooking balconies and walking areas to provide an uninterrupted shopping and viewing experience. Premium box galleries are also available on the upper floors.

The Boeing Parade Incident

The Atlas Complex was the site of the Boeing Parade Incident where an alledged coup was attempted on the government of Singapore. This ploy was foiled by a "rogue" walker, and its conspirators brought to justice.
