Certis Reinvents Itself for 2049

Published January 10, 2948   Incoming director Cathlin Chew announces new directives for Certis CISCO during their tech demo in the Suntec Convention Center this week. Following a year of unusual criminal activity around the island, Certis CISCO will focus their resources toward ensuring the safety and security of Singaporeans around the island.   The demo showcased the latest technologies that will be deployed by Certis toward this end. It included the latest in nonlethal pacification devices, drone interception technologies, and multi-spectrum security scanners. Citizens were invited to try out AR training simulations and a select few were invited to test drive the new 2050 Edition Boeing Police Interceptor Utility, with integrated AR threat display and URBAN autonomous mode.   Chew was endorsed by Councilor Margaret Seow to the position. Seow has been working closely with Confederated Boeing to integrate their operations with the RSAF, following the completion of the Boeing Atlas Complex.   Critics of this new position worry that this directive will limit the ability for Certis to pursue and apprehend criminals, further compromising the safety and security so promised. Respected Councilor Oswaldo Yeoh also cautions against the over-reliance of foreign security in domestic affairs.   Elisa Mok (Ms.)
