Makiko is one of the rare places with Giant Beetle Ranches, where the creatures as bred and domesticated-- and is the only place within the Dawn Islands to do so.

Guilds and Factions

The Beetle Ranching business is dominated by three families that have been doing this for generations, each with their own distinct species they specialize in. The Konka (Rhino), Kuwagata (Stag) and the Herakuresu (Hercules).
