Dame Brocha Palbuc

Dame Brocha Palbuc

Mother Brocha Palbuc was a daughter of Duke Anatol Palbuc the Brash and was very much her father's daughter following in his knightly footsteps.   She was more interested in swords than in dolls and became a formidable warrior. She was also enamored by tales of her famous ancestor Dyzek Palbuc the Vindicator.   She was given a choice between being knight (rare but not unheard of for Fumayan noblewoman) or joining the Guardians as a holy warrior. She was torn between the two, but chose the latter. She became anointed shortly thereafter and this only made her a stronger warrior. Her proud father gave her the honorary title "Dame" even though she wasn't officially a sworn knight of Fumaya.   Brocha took the chivalric code very seriously, especially the protection of civilians. Brocha was considered very beautiful in her young, but her manners very unladylike. Her course actions only made her more popular with commoners who already celebrated her valorous deeds.   She rode around Fumaya and beyond committing great deeds in Hallisan's name before settling into a leadership position teaching the next generation of Fumayan Guardians. She became the Mother of the Hallisan chapel in Palbuc. Reputedly, she refused a promotion to Revered Mother before her brother Agaton Palbuc became Revered Father. Allegedly, she stated that she did "not want to get involved King's Lake nonsense." Brocha was more famous and well-liked, but It was noted that her brother Agaton actually liked and excelled at managerial talk and high level diplomacy and Brocha did not, so he was probably the better candidate to be heading the front office.   She took an oath of celibacy after she got tired of turning down knightly suiters.
