The Elven Races

The Elves existed upon Jhar'gorn, the continent far to the east of Evandyr. They lived as slaves to the Giants, the Jarls of Jhar'gorn. After great catastrophe and warring, the giants ruled their kingdoms to the ground as a consequence of their own hubris, as they thought they could tame the Story itself.   The Elves prospered, creating the united nation of Er'laria, until philosophical differences created civil war, tearing the nation apart and destroying the very continent itself. The magnitude of magical power from arcane, divine, and psychic sources sunk the entire land beneath the waves, creating a great rift in the Story. The surviving Elves came west, to Evandyr, and their old allies in the Hob.   This journey was the founding of Erinion, as told by those few Elves who survived the . They repeat that Erinion lasted a millennia, growing and prospering throughout Evandyr, the Bay firmly under their control, before the end.   Despite their past glories, the Elven ancestries shall never again rise to the shining glory of Erinion, for the great artifacts, combination of arcane runes, and occult insights into the nature of the Planar Danse were all lost in the blackened flames of that day.   This is why we must stand vigilant, learning and preparing for all threats to the Duchy and the Conservatory, so that Golryon does not fall prey to these same catastrophes of old.   IN AETERNUM. AD INFINITUM.
