Duchy of the Thirty

The Duchy of the Thirty is an oligarchic mercantile republic on the western shore of the Inner Sea and controlling the Sandarin Straits, founded by a renegade Ilsig Duke but now ruled by a secret council of thirty, with the public Duke just being a figurehead. Its capital is Tesender, once a major Ilsig naval base and now one of the commercial hubs of the Inner Sea. Control of the Sandarin Straits gives it control over all trade between the Hantal Sea and the Inner Sea.
