Titanflesh

Titanflesh is widely considered a misnomer as the term encompasses not just the muscles and sinew of titanspawn, but also the bones, scales, and any other body parts that may prove useful. It is one of the most vital exports of Gelethis and easily the most lucrative.   The titanflesh industry attracts so much revenue every year that it is one of the cornerstones of the Gelethian economy, second only to the EirdlouĂ° District. The only reason the industry is not bigger than what is, for all intents and purposes, the red light district of Gelethis is that much of the revenue flows through the Titanbreaker Guild, which only pays a fraction of that money to the Exarchy in the form of taxes.   Titanflesh has many practical uses. The meat, in particular, is said to improve a person's strength and constitution, while equipment made from bones and sinew are stronger and lighter than their metal counterparts. In general, titanflesh is a great product with applications that can revolutionize industries when used properly.   Titanflesh does not come without risks, however. Improperly prepared titanflesh can contain titansblood residues that cause a number of unpleasant side-effects not limited to overheating, burns, spontaneous combustion, and increased aggression. These risks have been mitigated in recent years by both Exarchy regulations and self-regulation in the industry as well as investment in skilled bloodscrapers to ensure as little titansblood fouls the product as possible.   It is important to note, however, that the resultant increase of prices has led some customers to procure their titanflesh from black market dealers, increasing the chances of "fouled" product entering circulation. Both the Exarchy and the established names in the industry categorically disavow these black market dealers and encourage customers to avoid the black market as there are life-threatening risks involved with titanflesh of questionable provenance.
