Hunter Corps
Di'Adefinttë, also known as the "Hunter Corps", is an elite and highly-specialized military unit under the direct command of the Prince of Lances and council of Lords General of the Dominion. The name of the unit, taken from the Tretalleri words adeýla meaning pale or colorless, and finttë meaning seeker or hunter is a testament of its close connections to Pale Imperator.
Also known as D'Meâlda Di'Adeýla Cilanannë, "The Hounds of the Pale Imperator" in Tretalleri, they are specialized in operations that involve seeking, finding, and either capturing or eliminating targets marked by the Prince of Lances and the council of Lords General. Although some of these operations may be carried out covertly, the Hunter Corps is not a unit specialized in covert operations. Rather, the Hunter Corps is tasked with tracking down fugitives from the law who are considered to be too dangerous for the average law enforcement officer but not so dangerous as to require the involvement of the Dominion's elite special-ops unit: the Order of the Mistwalkers.
Most of the Hunter Corps' deployments have been to operations within the Dominion. Historically, however, they have also been tasked with performing the gruesome act known as "The Harrowing" in which, after the Dominion razes a city to ash and dust as a show of force to a belligerent foreign power, all of the survivors are hunted down and slain.
