Seachosen

The Seachosen are the remnants of the population of the Drowned Islands. After the islands were struck by the Starfall Wave, the result of a meteor making impact with the ocean only miles from their shore, a large portion of the surviving archipelago refugees began manifesting magical gifts and kept moving from kingdom to kingdom and province to province to stay safe. The Seachosen, aside from a few holdouts living on the single inhabitable island of Haven, are largely nomadic migrants, moving in a few bands across the mainland. The Seachosen tend to have dark, often curly hair, and tawny skin. They tend to have brown or dark green eyes, and most notably, their Giftings seem to be an even split between water-based magic and life-based magic.
