The Drowned Islands

The Drowned Islands are the original location of the small archipelago Kingdom of Eversea, and the ancestral home of the now-nomadic Seachosen people. Starfall caused massive waves in the ocean near the islands, and many of the residents displaced by the horrific water damagemoved to the mainland.

Geography

The islands, all except for one that was protected from the worst of the wave by another larger, outlying island, are nearly completely underwater. Certain landforms rise above it, but the majority of all islands except the one known as Haven are under 2-5 feet of water depending on the tidal flow.

Ecosystem

The islands are now partially underwater due to the heavy flooding caused by the Starfall Wave, and their ecosystems have been affected by the magical properties of the inital impact of star-touched water. This has created a strange sort of perpetual saltwater swamp ecosystem with massive reptilian inhabitants, submerging birds, and lethal carnivores.

Fauna & Flora

Large saltwater-tolerant mangrove-type trees with rainbow bark and toxic sap are the main flora on which other plants grow and where most non-water-dwelling animals inhabit.
