Rime

The City of Rime is lauded to the outside world as a haven for the magically gifted, where they can use their magic without fear of repercussions, harassment, or arrest. Founded when public opinion began to turn against those gifted by the Starfall that shook their world to its core, the city is supposedly a refuge, and a place where anyone who wants to openly use their magic is welcome and accepted. However, its citizens know that Rime is just a prison of a different kind, a place where only 'safe' magic is trusted, and once you're inside it, there's almost no chance of leaving.
