Kingdom of Sarbrynia
The Kingdom of Sarbrynia is a constitutional monarchy that lays on the Ochar Sea at the southern edge of the central kingdoms. The kingdom stretches from the Balomite Mountains to where the Kala River meets the Bryn, the area that the kindgdom encompasses is the marshy lands that surround the lower Bryn and the vast delta at the river's mouth. This is where the administrative capital of the kingdom lies, the city of Hjalitz. Hjalitz is a great port city that is situated within a large natural harbour of the delta, here the nation trades with nations from distant continents as well as with other states within the central kingdom primarily by using river trade boats.
The majority of the population of Sarbrynia are localised on the southern coast. Most other settlements are along the trade routes of the major rivers or upon the roads north. Like most people of the central kingdoms, the Sarbrynians are well versed with river navigation, but perhaps more importantly, sea navigation. Its coastal nature has nurtured a great seafaring tradition of the natives who now boast the greatest navy of the known world and whose naval officers are coveted across Tuono's Corpse.
Structure
The parliament of Sarbrynia is the instrument through which laws are passed within the Kingdom. Though the King is required to give consent to laws for them to be considered legitimate, there has yet to be a incident in which the residing monarch refused. The parliament consists of three houses of which the consent of two are required to pass legislature. The first conisists of landed nobles whose position with the house are heriditary and hold life terms, it is this house which holds sole right to put forward legislation to which the other two houses may vote on. The second house consists of representatives of merchant guilds within the city whos positions are subject to vote from guild members upon a legal minimum of 5 years. The final house conisist of elected members representing the subjects of the kingdom, these representatives are elected to a 10 year term by the populace of 80 regions.
