Jalamassa
Jalamassa is a day of celebration in Doric communities as the end of the wet season, celebrated on the last day of the month of Kesa. The celebration is linked with the god Jala, god of the sky, as he is often credited with causing rain and thunder, though some cultures attribute the holiday to other gods such as Autas and Joula. The day is generally celebrated by more private feasts, noble generally hosting banquets in their halls for the occasion, while the those of lesser standing may be permitted usually prohibited meats such as rabbit and venison, though many cannot afford such delicacies and have very modest and private celebrations.
