Vampire

Vampires are among the most powerful Undead in the world and can often be the most dangerous due to their near-perfect resemblances to basic humans. Immortal and insanely hard to kill, they are unable to produce their own blood and are thus forced to drink it from others. If a low-generation vampire exhausts all its stored blood then it will either die or go mad and become an unbiased murderous beast.

The Generation System

The more closely related to a Original a vampire is the more powerful they are. This simply means that a First Generation Aristocrat is drastically more powerful than a twelfth generation Lower Baron could ever hope to be. Because of this simple fact, vampire society is ruled by "The Generation System" or "The Vampire Hierarchy" as it is less officially known. The Generation System governs all of vampire society. When the rank of command is in question the highest-ranking vampire always takes charge and any lower vampire that questions them is usually beaten back into place by their superior.

History

Origins

The curse of vampirism was created by the Demon Overlords Denagol and Daramon on orders from the Demon King. After it's creation the two Overlords granted the knowledge of creating vampires to sadistic Witch known as Astra Woods. Astra greedily accepted the spell and quickly went to test it on a group of three young brothers walking in the woods. These brothers would eventually become the three Original Vampires Nicodemus, Saxon, and Dracula. At the time, however, the boys were simply regular humans and Astra had no trouble infecting them with her evil disease. However, the curse instantly caused the brothers to fly into a vampiric rage. Whilst consumed by their Blood Rage the brothers murdered their entire clan of Kristavel including their youngest sister Elaine Wraith. Luckily for her, the siblings' DNA was so similar that the infectious curse transformed her into an original vampire with power enough to match all of her brothers, and although she uses her abilities much less than any of them her pure heart allowed the Angel Mikhail to warp her dark powers into something beautiful.

After The Cataclysm

Lucifer Morgane's Cataclysm sent the vampire clans spiraling chaos. When The Wayfinder University of Magic and Spellcasting was destroyed and Myrna Wraith, already mad with grief for her mortal friends found herself facing some of the most dangerous members of The Kilamarane. It was only thanks to the efforts of the newly turned Lucy Whitemore that every Pureblood and Royal along with Progenitor Mikaela Akari realized the extent of the crisis and came to her aid. Neglecting their own lairs and clans to protect the family. Because of their leaders' absence, the vampire clans were ravaged, and Blood Tower, Black Castle, and Vampire Grove were all ravaged. Only Dracula's Manor was spared destruction due to its immense amount of magical protections. Protections Nicodemus had often deemed paranoid, It was an insult Dracula never let his little brother forget after the destruction of Blood Tower. Despite the near total extinction of their species as a result the vampire royals were victorious against The Seven Deadly Sins and saved many mortal lives within the city of Valos that day. However during the battle Saxon Wraith went missing, and The Demon King cursed the royal family weakening their ability to dominate their underlings. The curse also had the unexpected side effect of creating an intricate hive mind within the royal family but the damage had been done no matter, the new power it awakened. Freed from their leash many vampires revealed the monsters they truly were and rampaged across Draconia amounting to a higher death toll than the Pureblood's original rampage and the all three Wars of the Gods combined. It was because of this rampage that the Cataclysm was so devasting. With their past, in ruins, the Orignal Vampires went their separate ways trying to rebuild their species. In the absence of his older brother, Nicodemus took Christian, Harlequin, and both of Saxon's children back to the ruins of Blood Tower to rebuild, determined to be the king Saxon had always hoped he'd become. Elaine took Kaname, and Senri along with Dracula's children and elected to travel the world rebuilding whatever they could, making up for the destruction the demons and their lesser kin had caused. Finally, Dracula swore that he would never create another vampire and set out to find a man named Draco Alioth an old friend of Saxon's and a lengendary Jaeger who agreed to help the dark mage purge his evil kin from the world.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

The Vampire's interspecies relations summed up in a few words are Very Bad. Despite Saxon's best efforts he is simply not able to control every vampire in the world at every moment and his brothers are less than helpful when it comes to keeping their subordinates in check. Because of this rogue vampires are not uncommon. The most common reason for Saxon to lose control however is when a minor vampire is driven mad for any reason.

Average Physique

Although most vampires often appear weak and withered they are neither. A single drink of blood will quickly rejuvenate a vampire's body and they will once again appear as a young adult. Their physical strength, however, does not change with their visible body and even the weakest looking vampires can break spines.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

All Vampires are deathly pale. In the dark, they could easily be mistaken for ghosts or another kind of apparition and there is a reason for this. High-ranking vampires such as Prince and Princesses are unaffected by sunlight because it bends around them (It is for this reason that they don't cast shadows) but weaker vampires are affected in a very different way. Instead of warping around them, sunlight passes right through their thin skin and effectively superheats their organs causing them to burn from the inside out. because of this its impossible for them to ever get a tan.
