Braun Family

The primary point of contact for anyone looking to make, sell, or find food within the state of Galvaka. They were one of the first families to lose their autonomy, as Galvas used the supply shortages to sign trade agreements with the country of Neptis, circumventing the Braun family and establishing them as a contact for supplies. To not be completely outed as a family, Velqass agreed to work under the Galvas name so long as they could keep noble status.

Structure

The Braun lineage was based on a test that was given to each relative within the family. The person who scored the highest on the test was given the seat of Baron. This was a heavily respected tradition, and while there was cuthroat organization and plotting on all sides, the Braun family would disgrace any who disrespected this tradition.

Culture

The Braun family was based on merit. They believed that whoever was the smartest, fastest, and strongest should be calling the shots. This, of course, made a cuthroat atmosphere around the family. Children being pitted against each other, and families waging war on each other. Though this did produce results, and people agreed with the Baron, it was not without its flaws.

Public Agenda

They strongly believed in the right of might, and as such a lot of their food distribution was based on work. This is how they worked closely with the Galvas family to populate their mines. They would "always feed a working person", and as such, the mines were an easy place to find work.

Disbandment

During the war of the burning sun the Braun family found it more and more difficult to protect their caravans coming into the cities. They wasted much of their resources, and only had sea-travelers keeping them afloat. This was until their sea-faring contracts cut their deals and sold to the Galvas family. This sang the end for the family, being forced to dissolve itself and serve under the Galvas family.
